MY NEW NEW HOUSE
The She Shed Office
This space has been a long time coming and my only regret is waiting so long to get started. At the start of the year I realized I had more than outgrown the small nook in my house I called the office. While I had originally planned to use the larger garage as my office, the smaller shed made more sense for a couple of reasons. First, it would be easier to clean out and second, since it's a smaller space it wouldn't cost as much to transform.
I brought in the help of some of my guys to add the salvage doors and windows, add electrical, and drywall, and then I took it from there. First I added a beadboard feature wall, new pine wood floors, and then painted everything a bright white to serve as a backdrop for the vintage and repurposed items I planned to furnish and decorate the space with. Be sure to check out my blog posts to walk you through the Exterior Reveal as well as the Interior Reveal to get all of the behind-the-scenes details.
The result is a an eclectic mix of some of my favorite things and a cozy space to continue doing the work I love - home renovations and design. And the best part...Sampson can come and visit anytime he wants through the must have dog door I installed.
