PADGETT KITCHEN REMODEL
While we stepped outside of our comfort zone slightly and worked on a relatively newer house - 1980's counts as current right? - we still think we ended up with a timeless look in this newly remodeled kitchen. With the mirrored backsplash behind the cooktop, it's understandable that my clients wanted to make some changes. At the top of the wish list was to have a beautiful and grand hood over the new gas range and we definitely delivered. We worked with the cabinet builders to design this wood hood with pretty curves that nicely frames out the 36" gas range. While the lay-out of the kitchen didn't change much, we did opt to remove the wall oven and upper cabinets on most of the walls. However, we were able to reuse the beautiful butcher block countertop for the island and left it in its natural state after a light sanding.
The two-toned cabinets were custom built and feature detailed doors and drawers and are inset for a clean look. We chose to add a custom dishwasher panel to match the cabinets for a more cohesive look and switched out the desk area for a beautiful glass-front hutch that's great for both serving and display. My client already had some cabinet knobs she loved so we were able to mix those with brass cabinet handles and wall sconces for a classic look. The quartz countertops paired with a crackled subway tile with a penny round marble inset above the range works well together and we topped everything off with a custom floating wood shelf which is great for display items.
We love the way this kitchen turned out and love even more that my clients claim this as their favorite room in the house now!

BEFORE & AFTER

E-DESIGN ROOM PLAN
After the initial meeting with a client, the next step is always to provide an E-Design Room Plan to help decide the overall look of the room and to work through the details of the space. Most clients need to be able to see the end result so we work through as many revisions as needed in order to get everything just right. Below are some of the final plans that were then sent to the cabinet builders to get started. If you are ever in need of help with the lay-out of a room, be sure to check out our Design Services and get in touch. We'd love to help!
