Original to the Home:
The front door with transom above has a beautiful glass door knob and decorative back plate. The two smaller doors to the left that lead to the patio are also painted red and their large windows let in plenty of sunlight. Cedar shakes are a long time favorite of mine and pairs well with the horizontal clapboard.
The small bell to the right of the front door serves as a doorbell and originally belonged to my Papa. The white glider chairs were sandblasted and painted white to preserve them and they used to sit on the front screened porch at my Grandmother's house. Both of those are especially dear to me with their sentimental value.
The small mailbox was originally at the the second entrance to the Spanish Showstopper and fits perfectly in the small space between the front door and window. The porch swing came from the Boarded Up Beauty. In disrepair from years of damage from the elements, my parents lovingly put it back together and painted it a fresh coat o black.
Still to Come
The original shutters to the house were found in the crawl space so the plan is to refurbish those and then reinstall along the front of the house.
